Meet Joe
After working as an associate attorney for a small business and real estate law firm, in 2005, Joe founded the Law Office of Joe Sandbank.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Joe Sandbank worked as a Sales Associate for Business Team, one of the nation’s largest business brokerages. And prior to that, Joe worked as an Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer for Sacramento Commercial Bank, then the region’s leading provider of SBA business financing.
Joe graduated, with distinction, from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California (University of the Pacific) in 2001. Joe graduated in the top 10% of his class. He served as both a writer and an editor on the McGeorge Law Review staff, authoring Higher Education Meets the Agency Shop: Most UC and CSU Employees Will Pay “Fair Share” to Unions Even If They Choose Not to Be Union Members [31 McGeorge Law Review 571 (Winter 2000)], an analysis of controversial California labor legislation. Joe was awarded membership in the Traynor Honor Society and the Order of the Coif for his academic achievements.
Most law firms require their new attorneys to quickly choose between a legal career in transactional law and one focused on litigation. Unwilling to make that choice, Joe accepted employment with Aronowitz & Skidmore, Inc., a business and real estate law firm in Auburn, California. At Aronowitz & Skidmore, Joe was able to gain litigation experience under the guidance of Larry Skidmore, whose practice focuses on real estate litigation, while also honing his transactional skills under the tutelage of Paul Aronowitz, whose practice focuses of business transactions, estate planning, and probate matters.
Joe is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court, Eastern District of California. Joe is a member of the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB), the Placer County Bar Association, and the Placer County Association of REALTORS®. In addition to being a licensed California attorney, Joe is a licensed California real estate broker.
